The prize wants to provide visibility and support to one or more members of the civil society in Africa, identified via this announcement: people who have stood out for their civic engagement regardless of their jobs or environment in which they operate.
They can be activists, intellectuals, students, journalists, citizen journalist, bloggers, environmentalists, trade unionists, artists… anyone who has shown audacity, talent, courage, generosity, moral integrity and dedication towards the oppressed.
The application cannot be spontaneous, it must be submitted by an institution/organization/ committee /NGO who must grant for the candidate.
